News/Events :: We've just launched Progress Thailand which we hope to chronicle and connect the emerging maker/hacker/urban gardener scene in Bangkok and beyond. We're trying to build up interest and appeal not just in Thailand but everywhere. Activist Post and Natural Blaze have already picked up two articles, one on 3D printing houses and another on utilizing rooftops and roadways for power and food production.
The idea is to turn it into a platform with some reach, so that those trying to promote a new idea, concept, or campaign will be able to reach more people and connect. You might not need it today, but you might find it useful tomorrow. All you have to do is help spread the word.
Helios Labs is supposed to become an actual brick-and-mortar classroom/hackerspace. For now, the blog will be used to host whatever projects we're personally working on, and maybe to repost articles of technological, architectural, or scientific interest that make their way onto Progress Thailand.
If you are looking for a hackerspace, we suggest Bangkok Makerspace, you would be hard pressed to find a better equipped or convenient location with more knowledgeable people anywhere else.
